Deciding to walk away from God did not come easily or quickly. Nor did the decision to return.
These kinds of tumultuous events feel as if they happen impulsively, spontaneously. But, if we take the time to look back at patterns, we find the seeds of the decision sown years before the actual action. This was not a book medical fiction writer Lin Wilder planned to write. Ever. Until she remembered a promise made to a friend years before. More info →
It is only through reading her entire story will you see the long time period it took for Lin Wilder Finding the Narrow Path. One of her early reviewers questioned the book cover, indicated it was “too preachy.” I laughed after I finished the book, because I have never read a less preachy story yet the cover worked perfectly for me. It is open, factual, and, yes, presented as a true intellectual would. She shares her readings, her research, her trips made in her search. But it has been done in what I considered an unemotional manner similar to, I am sure, her other professional writings.
Still, she includes her poetic emotional responses so that we see how “the light” touched her…Read More
The umbilical chord that can never be severed is the one that attaches us to God. Lin’s story is large, broad, stretching that chord as far as she could and in as many ways as she could. Yet the gentle tug of God made itself felt through key people and experiences along her journey. On three different occasions God was experienced as a blinding light. Looking back Lin came to know that light was the Holy Spirit made manifest in an “effulgence of light”, as she came to name it.
In telling of her story Lin stands naked before the reader, which is always the risk of honesty….Read more

5 stars! Very helpful-Compact and to the point.
Amazing, I've learned more about handling prospect in the last few days from this handy little book than in the last three years of listening to CDs and practicing all methods of verbal requiting. Chapter 5 was the key. I too was told that "we are not selling"
Thank you Dr. Lin Wilder More info →

Thanks for writing this book. I found it very informative. I like the fact you were honest in telling the reader it takes hard work to be successful in email marketing but at the same time let us know it is not too late to get in on this type of marketing.
A lot of good information on how to actually do email marketing. The fact you gave sources for auto responders and list managers will be very useful for people looking to join you in email marketing.
Another point I found useful was not to write your emails using "I" and focus on "WIIFM". I think that is true even when dealing with people in day to day communications.
Thanks again for a great how to book on "Secrets to email marketing".
P.S. I proofed this review several times before submitting. Another one of your tips from the book. More info →

"Poetry is the language of the heart; to be written or even to be understood, the heart must be made raw, it must bleed; the psalmist writes circumcised. It is no secret that growth and change- conversion can come only from pain not only felt but assimilated. In a culture averse even to the slightest discomfort, assimilating pain sounds like too tall an order and so it may be. But to the man or the woman searching for something unnamed, something huge, something so far greater than they, that kneeling in adoration be the only response, I dedicate this book."
In her dedication to her book of poems, Dr. Lin Wilder eloquently prepares her reader for the experience of reading the fifty poems enclosed in A Search for the Sacred. Wilder divides the poems into three sections; the reasons for the categories become clear early into the reading of the poems.
There is a journey here. One that begins amidst deep personal loss and grief- some surprisingly intimate portrayals of a woman suddenly alone. Some of her poems are raw; uncomfortably so. More info →
